So, it only makes sense that our first blog post be about the day we became a family! I know that all girls say "my wedding day was the happiest most perfect day of my life..." But now I know how true that really is! The day could not have gone more smoothly or more perfect.

It started at 7 a.m. with hair and make-up. I felt calm and didn't worry how it would turn out, I knew it would be just what I wanted. After getting ready, I quickly helped Carsyn get dressed in his tux. He looked so handsome! I dreamed about this day for a long time, and to actually be getting us both ready for my wedding day, was a dream come true. Jeff showed up right on time to pick up me and my Mom, and we headed up to the temple. He knows me far too well, and knew that he should keep a certain secret from me that morning...his tux didn't fit! Ah! Luckily he had it all under control and had his mom and sister at the mall waiting for it to open at 10 a.m. and exchanged the jacket and they met us at the temple. Phew! I didn't know a thing about it until we saw them and the problem was fixed. No freaking out by me was needed, because like I said, he knows me too well and didn't want me to worry :-)

The ceremony was amazing. To be in that room together and with our loved ones and to hear the words of the sealer was just awesome. I have known Jeff for just over two years, and our sealing ceremony was the first time I've EVER seen him cry!! I always teased him that he is a robot and has never cried. he he :-) Boy was I wrong, watching him cry so much definitely made my tears flow even more than they were. It was the sweetest thing. It was so fun to walk outside and see everyone waiting for us, and then cheering and clapping as we came out.

After temple and family pictures, we headed over to the church for lunch. After we ate, Jeff and I played a little 1 on 1 and shot around. It was fun, but very hard to shoot a basketball in my dress! Then Jeff, his sister and I went out to Thanksgiving Point for more picture taking. I loved it! I had never been there before and I thought it was beautiful. Jeff was a trooper and went along with it all without even complaining. We practically had to run around the whole place trying to capture every picture we could so that we weren't late for the reception. That made it more memorable! And we couldn't have asked for a better photographer, thanks a million Jeni!

We made it in time to set up the last minute things for the reception and touch up my hair and make-up. Everyone started arriving and the evening was just perfect. We mingled around and just enjoyed ourselves and the end of our wedding day. We wanted to make it comfortable for everyone and I think we did just that. It is a day we will always remember and cherish. We are so grateful for all of our family and friends who were able to share the day with us, and also for the ones who were there in spirit. :-) We love you all!!
