My Baby Boy Turns 6!!

Six years ago from right now I was sitting in a hospital bed waiting patiently (sort of…) for my baby boy to enter my life. Seems like yesterday!

My Aunt Megan drove up from Utah to throw me a baby shower on Tuesday, July 27, 2004. Towards the end of the baby shower I started to feel some pains in my groin area. I assumed they were just normal pregnancy pains and didn’t think much of it. I decided I was too tired to put away and organize all the gifts and that I would do it the next day. After tossing and turning in bed and waiting for baby to get rid of the hiccups (his nightly routine…), I finally started to doze off about 11:30 pm and just then my water broke! It took me a minute to realize that that’s what it actually was and I hurried downstairs to tell my mom and dad. Since I wasn’t having any contractions or pains, I took my time packing and getting to the hospital. We arrived at the ER about 6:30 am and checked in. They got me all set up and told me to start walkin to get this baby here! And boy did he ever take his sweet time…. My mom and I walked and walked and walked all around the hospital and I even got permission to walk around outside. He was perfectly content and didn’t want to go anywhere but stay right where he was! Finally about 3 or 4 that afternoon they decided to hook me up to potossen to get things moving along. Because my water had broken, I had to have him within 24 hours. This was not a fun experience. I was starving, hot, sick, uncomfortable and in pain! I was bed-ridden because of the IV and I just wanted to get out of there… I got an epidural as soon as I could, and tried to bear through contractions for about 7-8 more hours. FINALLY, at 12:28 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2004 Carsyn Joseph Weber was born. He weighed 7 lbs. 0 oz and was 19 in. long. He was an immediate Momma’s boy and I don’t think he’ll ever grow out of it :-) Mommy and Grandma and Grandpa Tippetts, Aunt Tara, and Aunt Megan were exhausted and in much need of sleep! But very excited that Carsyn was healthy and in our lives.

A few weeks away from 6!

Carsyn and I have been very blessed to have each other this past 6 years. We have been through a lot together, but nothing that either of us will ever regret. He has been my rock and even though he is a very active and determined little boy, I wouldn’t trade him for anything else! Mommy loves you, Carsyn!

Our 68 Days of Summer So Far....

So, as you can see I’m a little behind on blogging this summer so… Here we go!

We found out in February that Jeff was getting laid off from his job. Not really what you wanna here right after you get engaged and about to become a family… He searched and searched in Utah for a new job and after lots of praying we decided that Lovell was the best place for our family right now. My dance concert was May 14-15 and my parents went down and helped us pack and load the trailer and made it to the last showing of my concert Saturday night and then we all headed North Sunday morning. We miss Utah and our home but we are grateful to be where we are right now and hope that we can get things settled around here and go from there!

The first week of June Jeff and I were able to attend the Annual Cali trip with our friends. This is the third year and probably the funnest (yes funnest…) yet. We rent a beach house a few blocks from Huntington Beach and stay for a week and have a blast! (See pics J)

Carsyn was able to play T-Ball this year and had a great time. Of course he loved when he scored home runs! He and his cousin Makayla played on the same team and they were lucky to have their dad’s Jeff and Kevin to coach them. Let’s just say it was a learning experience for the dads as much as the kids. Hehe

This year I was asked to be a can can girl for Lovell’s Days. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and it was really fun. We have been in 3 parades and have one more this weekend. We also performed around town and in the Follies.

My little brother married the love of his life in the Salt Lake City Temple on July 2nd and we had the privilege of being there with them. It was awesome and we’re super happy for them! We made a reunion out of it with my immediate family (minus Trevor and Emily who were unable to attend. Apparently London is too far away to travel ;) I don’t blame them and we missed them!) We all went to 7 Peaks and Lagoon and stayed in a hotel together one night. It was way fun to be with everyone, especially since it doesn’t happen very often.

Then two weeks later we went back down to Utah for Jeff’s family reunion. His mom’s side-The Greenburg’s! Can you believe it’s been 20 years since they’ve had a reunion?! It was definitely time. We had a blast and I was able to meet most of his family and share lots of memories. We stayed at a resort in Midway, UT that was absolutely beautiful. Thanks again Mom Samson! We spent A LOT of time in the pool, visiting with family, and going to Lagoon again. Carsyn LOVED Lagoon! He was just barely tall enough to ride all the big rides and we couldn’t keep him off of them! That’s my boy! J We had a great time, and Carsyn slept about 90% of the 8 ½ hour drive home if that means anything!

So, that about sums up our summer so far, stay tuned for more to come! (I promise to be better about it…)
